• Reach for the Stars Fundraiser (Oct 1–31): Our annual "Reach for the Stars" fundraiser is running now through October 31 and our goal is to raise $18,000, with every dollar directly supporting North Star students. Win! First 25 families to donate this week are entered to win a Family Movie Night prize pack. Plus, a surprise school-wide prize if we hit our goal! Thank you for helping North Star shine bright! • Trunk-or-Treat, October 24 | 5:30–7:00 PM: Dress up your trunk (and yourself!) in your best not-so-scary costume and join us for a night of fun. Our goal is to have at least 25-30 families participate with decorated trunks, plus a few parent volunteers to help with set-up and clean-up. Sign-up here

• Book Fair, October 27 - 30: Discover a wide selection of books and help support our school. Proceeds fund new books and valuable classroom resources. The Scholastic Book Fair empowers our students to choose books they love, but we need volunteers to make it happen. Sign-up here

• Now - October 23: Fall Running Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch recess. Volunteers needed to help scan laps and hand out prizes. Sign-up here

• Family Engagement Liaisons: We’re launching a new role to help strengthen grade-level connections at North Star! Family Engagement Liaisons serve as a bridge between families, teachers, and the PTO—helping organize a few informal meetups, supporting Staff Appreciation Week, and encouraging parent involvement. For 5th grade, liaisons also help coordinate milestone events like promotion celebrations. Interested? Email info@northstarelementarypto.org
